I am using Alchemy with success with my X-Fi XtremeGamer using the same setting that are used for Reunion. Also turn on the X-Fi CMSS-3D in surround mode. I don't turn on EAX in the game menu because it seems to screw up some in-game sounds (some Lasers). Hope this helps.

Help! The Teladi are pissed at me (Not sure why?) How can I regain there friendship? Tried to communicate, run missions and destroy enemies in there sectors but nothing seems to help they still attack me in the main Teladi Sectors. They used to like me I even have a security license.

Disable the sidebar, It is recommended in the game manual to do so.
It also eats up CPU cycles & memory that the game needs.

I'm having the same problem! I don't think its graphics related, I think its sound related I have an X-fi and decided to uncheck EAX and it seemed to help some. But I'm still having bad stuttering during large combats (with 1.3).

This is really strange, I tried running X3:TC again with Alchemy turned on and now it seems to work fine! go figure? I didn't change anything and now it works after days of fiddling with it.

I'm having the same problem, but if X3:TC uses the same sound system that X3:R used than why didn't I have a problem with this in X3:R?
