No that's not correct. You have a mod conflict - likely something else that alters tships. You shouldnt edit the core game text files. Instead create your own - if you put a core text id into your own text file it will override the entry in the core files. Put your text file in a cat/dat or drop it into the main "t" folder. You'll need to load it via a script. Have a look at the xrm text ...
