How does one edit the weapons?

I want to increase the range of all weapons maybe damage too.
im extracting the files but for know I cant seem to find witch one it is.

if annyone know could you tell me? for me this is critical I want to give the AI a fighting chance against me at ranges of 10KM

There's the weapons file located in the libraries folder but I think that might just be for player weapons.

Found what I think are the files.

Look in "assets\fx\weaponfx\macros" in each cat. Each macro controls how a bullet acts and each bullet is assigned to a weapons (I think based off old x3 names). Try that and let me know if you have any success.

thanks that one step closer !
it seem that all the data inside the files seem to be linked to graphics and colors , and position.
Mmmmm.... I wonder were the speed or range will be then

EDIT : I think I found it. il play around with it and see what happens but either way many thanks killorg :)

do you know if when you make a mod does it have to be a cat/dat , or do loose files work?

It found my mod with loose file but it dosent work and i edtied nearly every weapon
