Ship attacked/destroyed notifications

Can we please have any option for a guaranteed audible alert if a ship gets destroyed?
I'm so frustrated every time I return to this great game when I lose traders with escorts and don't get notified.

The pilot's under attack comm is completely unreliable.
The sound that sometimes plays when a ship gets destroyed is completely unreliable.

There's a guaranteed audible notification for every single completed trade but no option to have that for destroyed ships?

The red text notification is too easy to miss, especially when you're on the map. And it also doesn't help that 'pause' does not pause the notifications fadeout and comm, especially because some notifications do not show up in any logs (like temporary rep loss).

Maybe add a full custom alert category, let us configure it for ship size, player in or out of ship's sector. Maybe add a fixed widget with destroyed ships counter that you can dismiss. Or just have that comm and sound that already exists be reliable.

Completely agree!

After I've lost several high level traders (because I missed the attack notification) I've added a sound warning to the show_notification part. So, if you do not mind playing a modded game then I suggest you do the same.

Found a mod that adds attacked/destroyed dialogs, adjusted the position and duration so you can't miss it and even was able to add a Betty Attention line that I saw in another mod without having any idea of what I'm doing :-)
