Age of x-ers?
Moderator: Moderators for English X Forum
People tell me i'm too old at 36 to play computer games but reading through this thread I see i'm at about average age, cool.
Trying to get my 6 year old dauhter into X games but she seems too have stalled on barbie games. Oh well there's time yet, wait till Febuary 6.

Roast me a slipper Skipper, Ill be back for Christmas
Too right about Elite, even Elite Plus with patches for the PC version....oops nearly gave my age away there. Some are caught in time warps...and some just warp time. Guess correctly and win a ticket to see the next Super Nova....that is...if I'm back by then say no more.pjknibbs wrote:I don't think that's much of a surprise--I'm betting half the population of the boards consists of people who cut their teeth on the original Elite way back in the early 80s.strangelove wrote:34. Seems to be quite a few of us around the 33-35 mark.

29, soon to be 30 in a few months!
Quite agree with the first comment about Counter-Strike, I've run a CS clan for the last four years. We are all friends who meet up every year for some good old larnage (www.larnage.co.uk - currently being worked on)!
Theres only a few clans out there who like us like a laugh, but thats probably due to our average age which is around 30! If any of you guys and gals would like a good fun game of CS, when your not flying around... then please feel free to give us a shout
oops, clan name is 'The Black Mambas' we're in the Premier Division of EnemyDown. Like I said for some pure old time CS fun... give us a game... make sure it's before 6th Feb though

50. 51 next week.
Never had the pleasure of playing Elite. Fell through a jump gate last year into the X Universe when I found XBTF on ebay for EUR 5 and been hooked ever since. Bought X Gold soon after.
Anyone remember Collosal Cavern (not a space sim)? I played it on a PDP8 about 12 years before the first home computers appeared. Does that make me a Senior Gamer?
