It looks like an M6 with guns or missiles underneath.

It could be Argon or maybe the Xenon buster.

The planet is quite good.

I thought it was jsut a transport i mean itsgot a few guns but its hull doesnt look like its meant for combat it looks more like a transport of some sort.

Well it could be anything, maybe the new tag ship or a new pirate ship or maybe a new planet landing ship.

I think this is why ego put this image out, to keep us guessing.

M6 ? Where's the turrets then ?

Not a fighter ship (judging from appearance), yet big guns... that would be a Split TP.

Holy Crud! I cant believe I missed this thread! *melts into puddle on floor*

That latest one looks to me like a TP hull with some large missiles or heavy lasers strapped to the forward underside.

It just strikes me very strongly as a TP ship with that kind of shape, and almost certainly Argon in origin. I think Argon because of the colouring, as the colour sheme from X2 looks like it is still in effect (i.e. Silver = Argon, Red = Split, Brown = Paranid...) and it has that functional military look the Argons go in for.

But just realy doesnt "look" like a proper combat ship to me.

Perhaps the dangly bit is supposed to be an automated defense turret for the TP or something... It doesnt look like a docked ship to me - too small, looks more like large lasers or missiles. But it is just the wrong shape for a combat ship - too bus like.

Ahh well, perhaps all will be reveled with the next screenie!

Well, I always thought the Buster was too transport-like. And the Centaur was too dustbuster-like.

So I'm open to most possibilities.

Well, staring at it for far too long, I'll take a wild guess. It seems that it is Argon (based on the prior screens with IDs posted). Nice clean look. I see 3 turrets on it. Well, actually 2 turrets on it... left side near the front and up back on the far bit of the tail/engine assembly. With a left side turret, I presume it will have right side turret.

Multiple turrets, makes me think that lump under it is a docked ship, not big guns. I like that, considering that there is just a very tiny "connector"/mounting between the main ship and the underhanging mass. Of course, it could be a missile mount in the center with 2 rotating guns on either side, but I like to think that the docked smaller ships will actually have some basic tether between the host craft and the smaller one. So, Argon Corvette.

I am more impressed with the background than the ship.

Is that some sort of electrified nebula or what? It looks like an image from the Hubble telescope.

Yes I do - it has a cockpit, with a window on it!

So I can tell how big the ship is from that reference point!

Does anyone else feel its a very very weird with the back really REALLY different looking to the mid and front section of the ship.. Just looks very bizar and fake looking i mean the ship just doesnt look right to me.

Also not long till midnight hehe for next screenshot of the day to appear. I think ill stay up another 40 mins to see it. Hope they get released at midnight as some devs stay up that late or at least thats what the forums say sometimes.
