[MOD] Missile trail effect mod v1.0

Missile trail effect mod v1.0

Mod only for X2 The Threat 1.4 or 1.5 game version.

Mod add all vanilla missiles different trails effects - each missile have different trail effect:

- Add Mosquito Missile vanilla Argon ship engine trail effect
- Add Wasp Missile vanilla Boron ship engine trail effect
- Add Dragonfly Missile vanilla Teladi ship engine trail effect
- Add Silkworm Missile vanilla Split ship engine trail effect
- Add Hornet Missile vanilla Paranid ship engine trail effect
- Add all Khaak Missiles vanilla Khaak ship engine trail effect

Compatible with all mods, who does not change "TRockets.pck" file.

Installation:
Mod install as False patch.

I tried this and it looks nice. Unfortunately it overwrites some missile mods I've made in TRockets.pck.

Do you have instructions so I can manually add the effects in TRockets.pck and keep my other modifications?

Here are instruction - how can manually add missiles different trail effects:
Open TRockets file with X2 editor and change this "Unknown value" - as see into the screenshot: TRockets
Add each missile numbers 1 - 6 vanilla ships trail effects numbers.
Number into this "Unknown value" are number of trail effect from the "Particles3" file.
Here are list of trail effects (vanilla ships trail effects):

Code: Select all

1: greenish dot structure / argon
2: dark blue cloud structure / boron
3: green cloud structure / teladi
4: Red cloud structure / split
5: Yellow dots /paranid & xenon
6: Khaak
7: Grey smoke (vanilla missiles trail effect)
Other trail effects not tested in missiles.

Worked perfectly...now I can see my missiles speeding towards their targets.
