Post by Shimrod » Sun, 13. Mar 11, 23:35

Any mod available to prevent equipment being destroyed on ship collision in X2?

You can do this mod but it have to work with .txt files as like as trader in bonus pack. You need to put information about ship into .txt file and then script will return all missing equipment. I don't think it is good idea for all ships. It can be usefull for player ship.

You could tune up shields massively. (lasers too of course ;) )
I noticed that super strong shields do prevent equipment loss on collosion!

When you use the X2Editor (by doubleshadow) you can directly open the TShields and set up the power level. Save, done. I think you don't even need a new gamestart :)

oh and ofc I can do that for him, if he wants, I have everything on my hands :)

You don't need to start new game.
as I modified TShip.pck with x2editor and I started save game, it worked, you don't need to start new game, just use save game :)
and ofc I can modifie TShips for you if you want ;)

But note: You lose equipment because you crash into something, example: asteroid, ship or station.

You have to avoid impact!
