There are several possibilities to find working download links:
  • Many scripts and mods have been uploaded to xdownloads https://xdownloads.co.uk/
  • You can also try entering a download link into http://web.archive.org/ and see if it has been archived there
  • Sometimes other users of a script/mod may have provided alternative download links throughout the thread. Therefore it's a good idea to not only check the opening post but also the last few posts / pages of a thread.
  • Due to a change in the forum software some time ago, images being hosted on websites starting with "http" instead of "https" are no longer displayed in the forum. This can mess up the display of download links, if their image links are embedded between url-tags. Easy workaround: Use the quote button on the respective post to see its text in the edit view, and locate the (direct) download links from there.
